Bruce Medhurst

Bruce has been on Whitebark's board of directors since its inception. He first moved to Mammoth Lakes in 2001 after accepting a position at UC Santa Barbara's Sierra Nevada Aquatic Research Lab (SNARL) as a staff research associate. With a degree in Aquatic Toxicology from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, Bruce fell in love with the region while conducting research on streams and rivers throughout the Sierra Nevada and Great Basin. After receiving a Master’s Degree in Biology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Bruce returned to Mammoth working again at SNARL. In 2016 he accepted a position in the water quality lab of the Mammoth Community Water District where he currently serves as Laboratory Supervisor. In his spare time Bruce is outdoors telemark skiing, backpacking, or camping with his family and playing music with friends.
