Amanda has spent her career working with nonprofits in a variety of roles ranging from auditing and consulting to in-house accounting to philanthropy support.  With her CPA license inactive, Amanda stepped away from accounting to focus on writing.  Then, when the pandemic hit, she and her husband partially relocated from San Francisco to the Eastern Sierra, an area new to the native Californian but already close to her heart. The night she closed on her home in Mammoth Lakes, was the night the Creek Fire broke out, making clear how vulnerable forest-bordering communities are. Amanda is thrilled to apply her experience to support work that benefits her chosen community. When she isn’t knitting, solving a crossword puzzle, or trying to conquer high elevation baking, she’s on a trail with running shoes, a bike, or XC skis strapped to her feet.
